How did you get into flooring:
I started as a distribution rep. A friend of mine from Church offered me a position in flooring for the first time. I moved to retail because I wanted to interact more with the end-user. I wanted to see the difference we were making after the product is installed.
Favorite part of the job?
Helping people find their perfect floor.
What makes you excited about running this store?
Become more a part of the community. Brining in the products that better serve the community. The expertise that I bring to the sales process: product knowledge. The competition sucks – they don’t know anything! They can’t guide the customer. They don’t the products, they don’t know installation. I want to help people navigate through the maze of process to select the type and style. We do that better than anyone else.
Money is no object. What floors do you put in your home?
Hardwood. Natural white oak engineered hardwood. 7” wide with all long boards throughout the house. Rugs – absolutely. Woven wool rugs.
What do you love about wool carpet:
The feel, texture, retention, long life – it will last forever.
