About Melissa:

I have 10 siblings – 7 sisters and 3 brothers. My 4 grandchildren live with me and my husband. I’m used to a full house and a lot of noise!

Melissa is a former trauma nurse and an empath by nature. She treats each customer like a life-long friend that she’s known for years. She has a straightforward approach and does not shy away from a challenge. She enjoys getting to know her clients at a personal level and then using her expertise in flooring to guide them, making sure they land on appropriate selections, uniquely suited for their lifestyle.

I don’t get these grey hairs from my work; I come to work for my peace. I love meeting new people on the job and getting to know them.

Melissa started her career in flooring as a carpet installer. Her well-rounded education in flooring allows her to see different angles that other flooring experts might miss. For instance, she’s attune to the backing on each carpet and which allows for the simplest seam.

What is the most challenging part of the job?

There is a lot of misleading stuff on the internet!

Money is no object, what floors do you put in your house?

Fabrica, fabrica, fabrica! Luxe carpet in the bedrooms – nearly 100 oz. of 6.6 nylon and so soft! And yes, it looks like a diggidy-dang shag from yester-years! But if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I would choose a bright light teal. I like color in the house. I would have a happy house. I’d walk in and it would wake me right up. In the living room I’d have Fabrica hardwood. Very light wire-brush that won’t grab your socks. And sharp looking!
